We started class by listening to the read-aloud "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds. The Dot Project is to help students realize that everyone has a creative side to them. This project allowed us to use different types of media to create one large dot on a coffee filter.

Extension Activity:
I will read the book "The Dot" by Peter H. Reynolds to the class and then we will discuss the meaning behind the book. After that the students will be able to explore their own creativity by making their own dot with any of the supplies I provide. The only catch is, their Dot has to be either 2D or 3D. The students will then reflect on how making the dot made them feel and then share it with their class.
