Desscription:
My footprint is covered in cow print to show my love for cows. I also have my family brand that represents my family's ranch. The cross represents my faith. The sticker sunflower was made by my high school art teacher; it is my favorite flower. Pictures that represent my hobbies include the book, archery, and cheer. My favorite drink is coffee, hence the coffee cup. Since I am getting my degree in Elementary Education from Northern, I decided to incorporate a picture of our logo. Lastly, I have a picture of my family and my dog to represent my supporters and role models.
Extension Activity:
One idea I had to extend this activity in order to incorporate another subject, such as History was to pair it with a certain time period and/or event. Instead, of introducing yourself, students could introduce a specific time period or event that they are really interested in. For example, a student could pick the Westward Expansion time period and use wagon wheels, hoof prints, suitcases, journals, and sketches of water or hills as symbols to represent the journey. Students could also pick their favorite president and could introduce their president to the class in a similar way.
